Steven Freeman was born in 1958 in Milton, West Virginia and is a lifelong resident of Cabell County. He attended Nichols Elementary School, Ona Junior High School, Barboursville High School, and graduated from Marshall University.
Steven served as a teacher for 38 years, the last 18 at Huntington High School, where he taught Advanced Placement Government, Advanced Placement Psychology, and Civics. His wife is also a retired teacher, and his two sons, Steven and Zachary, are both teachers in Cabell County.
Steven has dedicated his entire professional life to public education and believes he brings the knowledge, experience, and commitment needed to serve the citizens of Cabell County with integrity and purpose.
Today, Steven is also a proud grandfather of a student currently enrolled in Cabell County Schools—giving him an even deeper personal investment in the future of our schools and the success of every child.
